Eian and I send our sincere condolences to the Solowoniuk family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My thoughts go back to the days of playing ball. Walter coached the Iron River ball team and Mildred played for them while I played with the Ardmore Ladies Ball Team and also with the Lessard Ladies Team. Many a good games and a lot of socializing between the teams. In the last few years we have had more fun with Walter in floor curling. Eian and Walter went to many floor curling bonspiels together. Some they won and some they lost but fun was had by all especially when Walter will let go with one of those “SUPER” shots. Walter and Mildred were absolutely an awesome couple!!! Keep the memories close to your heart because they will always be with you.

Our sincere condolences to the Solowoniuk family on Walter's passing. It was such pleasure and fun to socialize with Walter over the years during hours of floor curling and cribbage. Walter often gave us lessons on how to make "Hail Mary" floor curling shots and we often wondered how he could possibly have poor eyesight .We got quite used to hollaring out the colours of the rocks to him because he often left his hearing aids in the drawer at home.. You had to make sure he heard because if you wanted a guard and he thought you said " shoot hard " he could nearly put a rock through the wall. He was a great friend and we are fortunate to have had him touch our lives. R.I.P. Walter

Condolences to Walter's family. Rest in peace old friend, it's been a few years since we attended the OLD Iron River school with Mr. MacGillivray, the dances at the Iron River Hall, the occasional gatherings I was able to attend at Mary & Pete's when you & Mildred were present. Many memories, my prayers are with you.
