Obituary

On Tuesday, May 12, 2020, God knocked on Mom’s door. He offered her a reunion with Dad, her daughters and family members she hasn’t seen for a while. They were eagerly waiting her arrival and longing to laugh with her. God told her she would also have a great big beautiful garden. When she agreed, the blessed Virgin was there to greet her and to present her soul to our God.
She will be deeply missed for her sense of humour, her caring and her joie de vivre.
Left to mourn her departure are her children: Louise (Raymond) Pagé, Pierrette Jubinville, Guy Bureau, Gisèle (Léonard) Jubinville, Marc (Dianne) Bureau, Roger (Connie) Bureau, Monique (Dave) Fehr, Rita (Dave) Garrant, Colette (Ivan) Brennan, Denis Bureau, Nicole (Lawrence) Urquhart, Doris (Nancy) Laforest; son-in-law: Claude Tessier; thirty-seven grandchildren; seventy-five great grandchildren; five great great granddaughters; four sisters-in-law: Delia Lessard, Eugénie Bureau, Marie-Louise (Lucien) Coulombe, Helen Haponiuk; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Thérèse was predeceased by her husband: Louis Bureau; infant daughter: Lilliane; daughters: Paulette Tessier, Aline Schaub; granddaughter: Nicoline Fehr; great granddaughter: Angel Bureau; sons-in-law: Émile Schaub, Laurent Jubinville; her parents: Napoléon & Apolline (Garon) Lessard; six brothers: Joseph, Émile, Alphonse, Henri, Louis, Maurice; four sisters: Virginie Rousseau, Cécile Chaput, Laurette Hébert, Jeanne St-Jean.
In mom’s memory please enjoy a good laugh and play a good trick on someone. She loved to laugh.
Prayer Service & Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later date at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Bonnyville, AB. Honourary pallbearers were all her grandchildren. Final resting place, St. Michael Roman Catholic Cemetery, LaCorey, AB.
Memorial tributes in memory of Thérèse may be sent to St. Michael Cemetery Friends, c/o Noëlla Williams, PO Box 8057, Bonnyville, AB T9N 2J3.

Auntie Thérése has a special place in my heart. It was also my honour to visit her whenever I had the opportunity. From my early memories of growing up only half a mile away our families were happy to work together. I remember being a babysitter for auntie because my sister and I were the first cousins to be responsible enough to be given the opportunity to come for assistance in times of need. Many hours were spent looking after our younger cousins. Auntie was always great at sharing her appreciation. She has always been special and she remains in my heart ❤️
Sincèrement,
Lorraine

Today we laid Mom to rest. She had a long, healthy, happy life. Life was not easy for her and Dad, raising 14 children. She had to endure so much sneering and jeering from people because she was pregnant so often That did not diminish her pride for her large family. Her faith in God was so powerful, often giving him all the credit for her happy life. She raised us to be a close, happy and proud family. She had such a good sense of humour and kept it till her final days. She was such a positive force in our lives and will be missed dearly. RIP Mom, your work is done and now you can rest in God’s garden with Dad. Thanks for all your kind words an condolences

Mémé, you have left such a lasting impression on our family we will never forget. We had the chance to have an intimate visit with you in your last few days and our conversation was nothing short of positive. Your gratitude toward your children, family, and healthcare workers was so evident, even in your time of suffering you found the good in it all. You brought joy to everyone by telling jokes and making silly faces to the kids. You have sprinkled your love, values, and humour on all of us and we will carry that with us forever.

On t’aime toujours boss,
David, Anik & les enfants

I know how deeply Madame Bureau will be missed. She was such a strong and vibrant woman and the backbone of the family. She had such a great sense of humor and loved to play cards. I remember very well how she would get up and walk around her chair when the deal was not going her way. I know she will leave a hole in the hearts of those who loved her. My sincerest condolences to the whole family.
