I just recently found out about Mr. Blum's passing, and was quite shocked and saddened. Though we only knew each other a little while he worked at the Ident section at 4 Wing, he was honestly such an amazing person to work with, and so incredibly patient and kind. It was truly a pleasure to know him, and his presence will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Just found out about Eike's passing. It's a shock. I knew him as "Blue" back in the day. I first met Eike at the first "Tiger Meet" in Cold Lake. Never met a more giving, friendly air crew member than "Blue". I still wear the cap he gave me. As a photographer for the Snowbirds our paths crossed several times during the air show season. Eike beat me to "hello" at every show. My condolences to his family.

We remember meeting you, Eike and the boys, when we were about to have our house built in the lot beside yours. It was nice to know that we had such welcoming neighbours. It was because of Eike that fences were put up and that I got my clothesline. We had many talks over the fence and because of Eike got to know the rest of the neighbours. The neighbourhood has gotten less welcoming since Eike and you moved out. Eike had a way of getting to know people and bring them together. He will be missed. our thoughts and prayers are with you. While only with 427 Sqn for a short time, Eike made the most of his time in Petawawa. The word "mentor" has been used several times in other messages. Eike was that, and then some. He looked out for me and helped me navigate my military career with a few well chosen words of advice.
He made an impression wherever he went and is missed by those of us lucky enough to have met him.

My sincere condolences to Connie and the entire family. May your warm memories of Eike bring you great comfort and happiness. He was a true “gentle man”. Many wonderful memories of great times at 400 Sqn/2TASS/2RSU days.
