Uncle Alvin and Auntie Cil were a part of our lives growing up and we eagerly anticipated our visits when we would go to Cold Lake to see family. I was grateful to have the chance to get to know them again as an adult when they lived in Whitecourt for a few years. Our hearts are saddened by your passing, Uncle Alvin, and we send much love to those you leave behind.

We first met Alvin & Cecille 40 years ago following our transfer to Cold Lake. We became good friends, serving on Church Committees, singing in choirs, playing golf and other activities. We always enjoyed our visits. We are saddened by his death and the loss of a good friend. We take comfort in knowing that Alvin is reunited with loved ones in his heavenly home.

I fondly remember the time we spent as children at the lake with "Uncle Alvin". I especially remember the wonderful times touring the lake in one of his boats, Some of my best memories growing up were spending time at Cold Lake with our family. I am sorry I can not make it to the funeral. I will be thinking of all of you.
