"When your pace of life zooms, when your running on fumes, and you need an escape from reality; restore your old spark, and top up your tank with tranquility."

When I was posted to AETE Cold Lake in 1997, my good fortune was to work closely with Jack in project planning. I was a clerk, so totally out of my element, but Jack showed me the ropes - he was the SuperProject guru!! I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He was a legend, in my book. Rest well, my friend. You are greatly missed. My condolences to Jack's family.

I met Jack as a child when he was a colleague of my father and I was a classmate of Jody's. My memories are of a very pleasant man who set a great example of living well. He was happy and witty, enjoying his family and the outdoor lifestyle that is available in Cold Lake. I

n the fall of 1984 he was a stoic figure that provided comfort to my brother and I as our parents marriage fell apart. At a difficult time I was grateful that he was present and a friend of the family.

In the summer of 2010 we were visiting Cold Lake for the weekend and in the evening sun I saw a familiar figure pushing a wheelchair along the marina. It was thrilling to be able to go over and greet Jack and Sue and to introduce them to my family. I am grateful to have had that opportunity.

To his family I know he will be missed but we all know heaven has a popular new resident who brings wit and charm. Jack lived an admirable life and we were all blessed to have shared it.

He has been my mother in law's neighbor for years. He used to pick up my kids and I when I would walk during the cold winter. I remember him jogging down town everyday! What a beautiful soul!!!
