“Sr. Jeannette is suddenly on her way to God. A week ago, she was actively working on a project.”
After a very short few days of illness, Sr. Jeannette surrendered peacefully & joyfully surrounded by many Sisters of St. Joseph.
She was the second child of Omer & Anne-Marie (Mercier) Croteau, early pioneers of Bonnyville.
She is survived by her siblings: Marcel Croteau of Sechelt, BC, Thérèse (Daniel) Cournoyer of St. Albert, AB, Raymond Croteau of Bonnyville, AB, André Croteau of Bonnyville, AB, Joanne Kieran of Calgary, AB & numerous cousins, nieces, nephews & friends with whom she kept in touch with until her dying day. She has been an inspiration to many.
Sr. Jeannette was predeceased by her parents: Omer & Anne-Marie Croteau; siblings: Baby René Croteau, Irène Croteau, Lucienne Mercier-Croteau, Lucien Croteau, Claire Bourbeau, Paul Croteau.
A Memorial Mass will be held for Sr. Jeannette Croteau at the St. Louis Parish in Bonnyville on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. A friendship gathering will be held immediately following the Mass. Please relay this information to friends and family from far and wide.
