Dr. Siegfriedt "Sieg" Heydenrych MBChB, DA, CCFP
It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Dr. Siegfriedt Heydenrych of Cold Lake, Alberta announce his unexpected passing on Sunday, 27 May, 2018 at the age of 52 years.
Siegfriedt left South Africa in 1997 for Canada. He had a caring heart, strong beliefs, enjoyed travelling, cooking and spending time with friends. He was a good rugby player in his youth and had a beautiful singing voice. He had a passion and unstoppable determination from a very young age to become a doctor, to help people and make a difference. He spent hours studying and enjoyed it. He never complained. Achievements he mostly kept to himself and just a smile would give it away. He lived life to the fullest and had so much more to give the world.
Siegfriedt is lovingly survived by his sister: Gretchen Botha of Australia, his brother: Dr. Erhardt Heydenrych of South Africa; as well as numerous family members; colleagues; patients and special Canadian friends.
Siegfriedt was predeceased by his parents.
To honor Siegfriedt's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
